Spec Tool has a very succesful history of retipping carbide boring and grooving bars. The process consists of removing the worn tips and brazing new carbide in its place. Once the new carbide is attached we proceed with grinding the form to customer specifications from a detailed print approved by the customer. We recommend quantities of 50 pieces minimum on this style for tooling to be cost effective. Only basic sketch is required from the customer to start the retipping process.
